Sorry, I haven't posted in a few days. I have been working on planning my lessons. I begin teaching Mr. Ollis's Math class on Wednesday 8/26.
I just want to mention a few things for today's post.
Congratulations to Halle Hausman and Emily Cooper on their great stories. We appreciate your hard work. Everyone did a great job on their papers, but we want you to put more time and feeling into your papers. I look forward to seeing you on Monday in The Forum. Make it hard for Mr. Ollis and me to pick this next week. I challenge you!
In math today we took a quiz. Some of you need quite a bit of work on your angles and polygons. Let me tell you, that geometry only gets harder. I want to let you know that soon I will be giving you a test so be prepared. You will have a quiz coming up on Tuesday September 1st so get studying. I will begin checking math journals following math class on Friday August 28th. It is important that you have everything in your journal. I will be posting powerpoint presentations and guided notes on my website starting on Wednesday August 26th. If you miss a class make sure you are looking at these presentations and make sure that you are printing your notes. You may also ask me the day after for your notes, you will need them to study.
We began new science notes today. Make sure you look over the notes every night. Let's not repeat the same science test as last time.
Finally, a message about spelling contracts. Mr. Ollis and I were disappointed in your effort on your spelling contracts. If we graded like Mrs. Neas many of you would have missed a lot of points and some of you would have had Fs. It is important to follow directions. Please use a dictionary and a thesaurus for help! Make sure your activities are adding up to 100.
I look forward to teaching this week, I have some great lesson plans ready for math.
I will see you Monday!
~Mrs Noe
